Teaching

She joined the Department of Business Admistration Department at Universidad de La Laguna (Spain) in 1999 in the field of Organization Studies and Strategic Management. Since 1999 to present, Prof. Yanes-Estévez teaches courses about Organization, Strategic Management, Methodology in Management and Decision Making. The last one, from a behaviuoral point of view and considering the bounded rationality (H.Simon) as one of the main theoretical background.

Research interest

 Her main research interests include environmental scanning and strategic risk, with a cognitive approach to management and decision making and the application of the Rasch model in Business Administration. She has presented the results in international and national congresses and they have also been published in books and articles in refereed journals.

She received the PhD prize in 2002 in Social Sciences and the Canaries Government Prize in 2003 for young researches.

She has been research visitor in University of Wales at Bangor (UK) in 1999 and Strathclyde University of Glasgow (UK) in 2000 and 2001.
